StopWatch works with any video source or dashcam to stream video of police interactions to the web where they are watched live, shared on social media, or used as evidence in cases involving police misconduct.
When a stop begins, drivers initiate the stream by voice, button, or through the app. All stops are timed and the screen remains locked during the stop. The stop streams via the driver’s cellular service with information including the location and duration of the stop. Ending streams will be password protected to guard against tampering.
Following the stop, the driver will be prompted to provide optional information about what happened. Our non-profit foundation will work with outside funding sources to subsidize the cost of smart dashcams to individuals and communities that need them most.
